Nathan Meets Layton and Keeps On Swimming...

Well, things have gotten better since the doctor appointment (of course). Nathan seems to have adjusted to suburban life, just in time to go home. So finally I can catch up on the blog!

On Wednesday, Jane's friend Jen brought her 18 month old son, Layton, over for a visit with Nathan. It was a nice preview into our future - Layton was all over the place and could not be ignored for a second because he would be into something he wasn't supposed to touch! His favorite words were "Dawg" (I am sure his father, a UGA graduate loves that) and "Uh Oh." He also loves to make out with everyone, giving kisses to me and his mommy and even Nathan. It was fun to spend time with Jen and compare notes on life with sons. We saw Jen and Layton again, along with some other friends, on Thursday night at Jen's house where Nathan slept like a rock in Layton's old bassinette. Then he slept 8 hours before his next feeding! Yay.

Today (Friday), Nathan woke up all smiles and napped twice in the morning. In the afternoon we took Nathan swimming again. This time, his Daddy did not dunk him under the water, thank goodness, and he seemed to like the experience a lot better. After a while in the pool he was worn out and took a 3 hour nap this afternoon while I shopped and then all 5 of us went to dinner. When he woke up Nathan was all smiles again - naps are wonderful things! This evening his Uncle David comes to town with his fiance Lauren and tomorrow we'll spend some time with them before heading home on Sunday.

Nathan and his second cousins, Caroline and Catherine.

Jen and Layton - notice the mischevious look on Layton's face! Nathan, all smiles with his Daddy in the pool today.

Nathan swimming!
