Party Time!
We went to our first birthday party this weekend. It was Hannah Solomon's first birthday, in Brooklyn. A great time was had by all, particularly Nathan. He loved watching the older kids run around and was an avid listener to the sing along and story time. I could just see the wheels turning in his head when other babies would crawl by...I think it is not long before he figures out how to do that himself! He is so active, interested, and into everything already that I know we are really in trouble when he can move!
This whole weekend was very busy, spent with friends. We saw Sam and Ann, Oliver and Carol on Friday at Oliver's apartment - a reunion with the "boys" who had a great time playing with each other (read hitting, swatting, and shrieking at each other), then went to Central Park on Saturday to meet Lindsay and Brad, Amanda came over Saturday night, and then Sunday we went to Brooklyn to Hannah's party, then saw Kelsey and Aaron for brunch, and the Cahills! Whew. A whirlwind. Nathan was a trooper though, smiling at all the appropriate moments in spite of the fact that he had no naps. Lots of fun with friends.
If I can fight the cold that I seem to be getting, we are headed to the Pocanos this weekend to see Grandma Geri and Grandpa Lee for a couple of days. It should be beautiful. Nathan's first fall! Soon we will get our pumpkin and try to talk Scott into letting me dress Nathan up for Halloween. I can't believe in two weeks Nathan will be 7 months old! Time is flying by. Nathan and Mommy at Hannah's party
The birthday girl - one year old! Hannah Solomon.
A walk in Prospect Park, Brooklyn. Nathan is sleeping...Boy, we are quite the fashionable family - all coordinated and in fall colors.
Notice how well Nathan is paying attention to the storyteller. Rapt attention.
