Almost Christmas!
Well, I have to say that my son being mobile has made it very difficult to get things accomplished...no longer can I put him on the floor, type away on the computer and have him stay in one spot. The other day I put him in the den to go get my toothbrush and when I came back he was already in the kitchen! Quite the curious explorer, my little one. So things are very busy at our house trying to encourage Nathan to play with his toys rather than play with power cords, remote controls, furniture that could collapse on him, etc....
Besides being a little crazy, this time with Nathan is just so much fun. Scott and I literally rush home from work just to hang out with him. He makes us laugh all the time with his facial expressions and interest in life. Eating out has even become fun so long as there is a high chair and "finger food" to keep him occupied. He talks to us a lot, but with one vowel - "AAA" - means a lot of things depending upon the inflection and volume....We recently tried formula again just as a backup option and Nathan had no issues, to my great relief. He obviously does not have a milk allergy.
Recent activity included finally meeting Amy Schmonsees as well as Nathan's first hiking trip to NJ with Sam and his parents. Nathan did so well until the end when he got sick of being in the backpack and wanted a change of scenery...I don't blame him! Today is his last music class at Gymboree and then we are off to Atlanta! I can't wait to share Nathan with my friends and family.
Lots of things to do to get ready for Christmas and for many life changes in the new year. All I know is that as long as I have my wonderful husband and baby by my side, everything is going to be all right. We are truly blessed. Nathan at 8 months!

Dear Nate,
You don't know us but your Mommy helped us take care of our kids when they were your age. You are in good hands and I know that you will have a great life. Catch ya later.
