Wednesday - Fun with Friends in Central Park
Tuesday was a great day for Nathan. He was in a stellar mood and as a result, we had lots of smiles and conversation. I have attached a couple of pictures from our quality time. We are still trying to capture his smile on camera but it is proving very difficult.
Today, in spite of a forecast of rain, Nathan and I finally got to go to the park with our friends Carol and Ann (from the lamaze class at Roosevelt) and their sons Oliver and Sam. The weather held up and it was a gorgeous walk and an opportunity to compare notes with other moms. I found out that my worrying is normal and that new moms go through very similar experiences. Nathan got to interact with two other boys about his same age for the first time (which amounted to a lot of staring). We look forward to more fun times with the four of them, and actually plan on a new parent picnic on Saturday in Central Park.
Nathan was on good behavior today during the visit, in spite of being over tired after not napping this morning. He held out until the walk home when he started screaming so I had to carry him and push the stroller with the other hand - quite the experience on busy Manhattan streets.
This evening Nathan is taking a long overdue nap, getting ready for a visit from Katie. Tomorrow we hope the weather continues to be good so we can return to Central Park and get ready for a busy weekend and next week, when his grandparents Wilson will come visit!
